On behalf of the Chair of the Rwanda Society of Anesthesiologists, We all are excited to welcome you at this year’s All Africa Anaesthesia Conference.

 

Your work in Engineering the medical environment to make it safer field has left a great imprint in the field. We would like to use our event to bring the spotlight on your achievements.

 

AAAC2022 will focus on the Innovative Techniques, case studies and research in Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine. Our aim is to bring together bright minds to make available the highest standards of anesthesia, intensive care, pain control and resuscitation to all African people.

We recommend PowerPoint for all speakers.  If you plan to use something else, please email presentations@aaac2022kigali.com  in advance of the meeting so that our IT staff can ensureyour presentation will work properly.

Accepted lecture formats are PowerPoints documents, all files must be password unprotected

For Speakers with more than one presentation, please upload each presentation on an individual link.

Please do not upload any video on this link, If you are looking to submit a video upload a video to a private video Chanel and upload the link in the section above.

All video files should be .mp4 saved in H.264 format, so they will run properly on the computers provided. Presentations should be reviewed once transferred to the meeting room computer to be certain the fonts are displayed correctly.

Slide Design Considerations

  • The projector ratio is 16:9.
  • Make your presentation substantive, not commercial. Limit the use of company/product names. Focus on technical content. Avoid animation or flashy graphics that add no useful information.
  • Corporate logos must not distract from the content.
  • Do not include proprietary or copyrighted material in presentations.
  • Use a minimal slide typeface of 24 points and a sans serif typeface such as Helvetica or Arial
  • Avoid using more than 3 colors and types of fonts (use color for emphasis only. White or yellow lettering on a blue background is attractive and easy to read. Avoid red and green text. Be considerate of those that are colorblind.)
  • Avoid using more than 3 styles of slide transitions or animations.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Due to licensing restrictions, the use of music in presentations, including video presentations, is prohibited.

  • Laptop computer with Windows 10 and MS Office 2019 and Adobe PDF reader
  • Podium Microphone
  • Data Projector for computer presentations
  • Wireless Slide Advancer
  • Laser Pointer

Uploading Your Presentation

Please Upload all your slides on this link http://aaac2022kigali.com/lecture-submission/ before August 31st, 2022

A room monitor and audiovisual (AV) person will be in every meeting room no later than 15 minutes before the session to provide instructions on pulling up your presentation. Be sure to arrive at your session no later than 15 minutes before the session starts time to receive further instructions

Time

Presenters will have full control of their QnAs and talk allocation during the session, we recon each presentation and the presenter might have a different presentation style. Below are different times allocated in the Scientific Program

Lecture Presentation: 25 MIN session:  

Keynote session: 45 MIN

Panel Discussion: 45MIN + 15 MIN QNA

Abstract Presentation:  All Abstract presentations will be in 08 Min presentation format with exactly 20 slides shown for 20 seconds each (and set to automatically advance!).
